Health and Safety - Noise

The European Commission, has drafted a "non-binding guide to good practice for the implementation of Directive 2003/10/EC on the minimum health and safety requirements regarding the exposure of workers to the risks arising from physical agents (noise)". Chapter 8 of the guide is dedicated to measures on reducing risk of exposure to noise in the live performance sector. The draft was finalised mid-June 2006. After adoption by the different Commission DGs involved, the guide will be published and disseminated. Adoption of the guide is not expected before the end of December 2006.
