Improving travels with musical instruments containing protected species such as ivory, tortoise shell, Brazilian rosewood, lizard skin or others and ease CITES related rules for the music sector is high on the agenda of Pearle* - Live Performance Europe.
European CITES authorities are currently discussing possible changes to international CITES rules and a coherent revision of the European musical instrument certificate.
Pearle* and EILA, the International association of violin and bow makers drafted a statement to support this initiative.
