Response to consultation on EU Wildlife Trade Regulations

The EU considers a revision of its legal provisions governing cross-border movements of musical instruments, following a meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES). For movements across international borders with instruments or bows containing parts of endangered species such as ivory, rosewood or tortoise shell, a specific "musical instrument certificate" should be issued by European authorities.
